Transmission Issue - 2001 V70 XC - Nothing, then Bang!

Hello Everyone!
I hope your holiday was nice. I come to you with a new issue on (one of) my 01 V70XC. I was driving it this past week as I keep it in Pennsylvania, and I had off so I ran up there. Beautiful weather. But anyway, I was driving to my sister's home and the car was running well, although it stalled when I first started it, I thought it just needed more time for the fuel pump to kick on. I got to her home about 20 minutes away just fine. She asked me to move my car so more people could use her horseshoe style driveway. So I pulled forward and up the other arc of the drive, and put the car into reverse to back onto the grass. I only felt one click up but the indicators said reverse, so i stepped on the gas, and... nothing! So i shifted back down to drive, and back to reverse and BANG! The car rolls backwards and acts normally. This was the first time this has ever happened to me. My other V70 which I replaced the trans on not to long ago didn't shift rough, it just didn't shift. So I am wondering, could it be something else? Fluid is clean fyi. Thanks! (Sorry for my elaborate rambles, but I kinda need to go through it in my head so I don't leave anything out. Thanks!

Hello Cynthia.

Have you had the neutral stop software programmed out of this car? It's possible you didn't catch the R detent, perhaps?
