I am proud of myself. I have gotten that angle gear out and laying on the ground. That was not a trivial job, lol.
I'm ready to put things back together but I cannot get that darned collar out of the angle gear. It's loose and moves in and out about 3/4 inch, but it won't come out. Any ideas? Is it possible to just buy another collar, or is there another fix? Could I just use a big hose clamp on the axle to keep the transmission seal in place? Thanks in advance.

Good job! Why did you remove the angle gear? Just to change out the collar?

Angle gear started whining about a year ago and then started leaking fluid about 3 months ago.850 LPT wrote: 20 Apr 2017, 10:42 Good job! Why did you remove the angle gear? Just to change out the collar?
