Difference between T6 and T6 Premium S80? Topic is solved

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Difference between T6 and T6 Premium S80?

Post by 850TurboTurtle »

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a standard S80 T6 and a T6 Premium (2005 model year)? FCP wants to know which trim mine is for some parts and I can't find anything online that differentiates the two. It is just wood on the paneling or something significant and mechanical?

Thanks,

Rick

I think you are talking about the premier package, which is like the Executive for 2002. One thing that the 04 premier only had standard that was not optional on any other package was rear heated seats, couple of inches more leg room in rear and longer rear doors. The 02 Executive I had had reclining rear seats and no center seat belt allowing only seating for four instead of five, but the 04 Premier had a fifth seat belt. I don't remember a premium package, not to say it wasn't made but premier definitely was the top package in 04 and none were available in December 03 when mine was bought, I would have had to order it and wait. So I assume not too many are around. June

Thank you June. That's probably it. I think mine is not the premier or premium or whatever the called it. But it's still a very nice car. Quality in and out.

My 2004 is not a premier either and I still will keep her for my lifetime. 13 years now and just as much a pleasure to drive as ever. I liked the bigger back doors and dvd system for my kids. That package was intended for the European executive who had a chauffeur I believe. Now my kids are grown the extra back seat space really is not necessary for just me. If Volvo still offered the 2.9 T6 engine and transmission our cars have I would have continued trading every few years. I probably am one of the few reading the dislike on here for the T6, but I don't want to drive anything else. June
