2000 V70R rear calipers

Scot850 gave me a very good lead for Nugeon calipers, but after many calls I found that, theoretically, there is only 1, for the left side, between Canada, USA, and Mexico. Nothing for the right.
So, I've been searching parting-out sites for these special rear calipers, which fit only the 2000 R, and only those with vented rotors. If anyone knows where to get some (I have been and am still trying junkyards), or has some (dust shields, too!), I'd be much obliged.

Hi John,

Unless you are using the car, perhaps see if you can send them out for a re-build. Got to be someone out there that can do that surely.

Try Chapman Motors Ltd. on Vancouver Island. They have had a couple of 2000 'R' through there in the last couple of years and they do sit on the stuff for a while. You may get lucky like I did with the back plates. Speak to Happy or Paul in the parts dept.

I will keep an eye out to as I am constantly looking out for rare parts.

I wonder if you can buy the rebuild kit (ebay UK website lists some ATE rebuild kit for V70R) that includes:
- Seal
- Boot
- Piston

Just measure what you have right now (piston diameter and piston length) and buy appropriate rebuild kit.
Perhaps Nugeon has a rebuild kit too, they are in Los Angles area, call them to see if they can send you a rebuild kit.

Measure the piston diameter, ATE only makes that many piston diameters.
This will help you search the correct rebuild kit.
