What's year seats are interchangeable?

The passenger seat on my 2000 v70 is trashed and I'd like to either snag a skin or an entire seat while I'm at the junkyard. Which years/models are interchangeable? A lot of them look the same to me but certainly there must be differences.

98-00 S/V/XC70 for skins.. Entire seats only 99/00... 98's have a mechanically actuated SIPSbag whereas the 99/00 has SIPSbags controlled by the SRS computer.

Except SIPS system differences,like cmblackburn mentioned,they are all physically interchangeable between 850 and s,v,xc70 up to p2 models.
Ideally,you would need a seats from '99 and '00 s,v,xc70 because of SIPS system.

850 seats are different, but probably usable on 1998 '70s. C70 seats are not compatible at all, AFAIK. SIPS system is electronic in 1999-2000 models, so you will need a 1999-2000 seat if you replace the whole thing.

So it sounds like just grabbing the skins would allow me more choices. Are 850 skins really the same as the v70 or do they just fit? I'd like the seats to still match as far as stitching and stuff goes.

850 skins/foam/frames are different, but will physically bolt and plug into the body of the S/V70's. (rails and wiring are the same)
Best bet is find a low mile 2000 S70 or something. Out of curiosity, what color is your interior? I have some spare charcoal passenger's seat skins somewhere from a 2000 S70.

It's charcoal, I've been having a tough time finding anything decent in the junkyard. Everything is either tan or destroyed it seems.
