Flashing arrow on dash

1998 v70 AWD When it rains it pours now there is an arrow flashing on the dash she says she can't get the 3 buttons on the column to move such as switching from e to s etc.I about ready to throw in the towel on this car

Row the gearbox from park to low, back and forth about 20 times, key ON
If your PNP switch is going bad or is dirty, this may be a temporary fix.
If it works, replace the PNP switch soon (park, neutral, position switch).

I agree, sounds like the PNP switch. I seem to get ~125k to ~140k out of them before needing replacement.

The PNP switch is toast will have to order one ordered the used brake pressure switch and the gaskets for the turbo drain tube now to track down where the transmission leak maybe.

I would consider cleaning that switch before you install it considering its used. Its much easier to do before you install it rather than having to take everything apart again.

Got the switch yesterday looks better than the one in my car I am waiting till I get everything I need and hit it all at once.
