Lost wire to V90 seat airbag while doing heater core

Post by [email protected] »

I realize this is a strange problem to have.

Background: Over a year ago I took apart our 1998 V90 to replace the heater core. Those who know realize this is a nasty job which requires tearing apart a goodly part of the dash and interior. This is an extra car for us and life got busy, so there was a long delay between taking it apart and putting it back together. Amazingly enough, nearly everything has gone perfectly except for one weird problem. I cannot find the wire which connects to the passenger side seat for the airbag function. The electric seat and seat heater connections are where you would expect them and everything else is hooked up. But I still can't find where the wire harness is which connects up to the passenger seat to provide the air bag function. Without this connected I believe the whole air bag system turns off as a precaution when a fault has been detected.

Can someone tell me where the wire comes from? It doesn't seem to be in the bundles which run along side the interior below the passenger door like all the other seat wiring.

Please help if you can.

Thank you, John

Could it be connected to the seat belt buckle switch?
