S60r Side mirror loose at hinge(not the glass/actual mirror)

Like the title says. I'm having a hard time finding info on a fix.. Most results have to do with the actual mirror itself being loose. Mine is loose at the hinge, where it pivots when you move the entire side mirror like when parked on a really narrow road, and basically just being held on by the wiring. Is there a proper way to fix it, does it need to be replaced, or should I just glue it down with something?
