1996 850 trailing arm mounting bracket is bent

I bought my first volvo (1996 volvo 850)

I went to do an alignment and they could not do it because the trailing arm mounting bracket (I think that's the name for it) is bent and so is the bolt that goes through it. First of all is there a place online with diagrams where I could get part numbers for volvos? And where could I buy that? I was looking at some parts websites but noting came up. And also is that what that part is called? (trailing arm mounting bracket)

I forget exactly what its name is but they should get the idea
It's a locater arm but that too is the wrong name.
If I remember I'll ask tomorrow

Wow, that is bent. The next question; is the bolt bent or is the mount bent? From the picture I can't tell. What you can do is try to loosen the bolt, I fit wobbles in the delta arm end link, moves it back and forth, then it is the bolt. That is an easy deal, Volvo part number 977509, US$ 3.95 at FCP Groton.

If the mount is bent I don't know what to tell you other than have a body shop look at it.

I wonder what the heck they hit to do that?

The bracket looks bent too. I called the dealer and got the part number 9200189. ($95). I'll check some junkyards maybe I'll find it cheaper. I have no idea what could have done that. What is strange is that there are no other signs of damage underneath... oh well.

New bolt and have a body shop or alignment shop that has the equipment to bend suspensions bend the link back into shape...or take it off and hammer the heck out of it until it's straight...then go get a alignment. good luck!

Not that easy and easier to just replace it
