850 Clutch Master Cylinder

Post by correllkp »

Just a note on replacing the clutch master cylinder. Some videos/sites suggest loosening the brake booster nuts. One video said there was three...mine has four. And loosen means back off the nuts as far as you can so you can pull up on the bottom of the booster as you are trying to work the master cylinder back in. Also, there are a couple of drain hoses in the way that work against putting in the new clutch. One is from the windshield grill area which you can see clearly. Not sure where the other one comes from but mine became disconnected when trying to get the new clutch in...which actually made the job easier. Now have to figure out where it goes. Also after getting the hoses out of the way and getting the clutch close to getting back in, connect the plastic clutch shaft to the clutch pedal and then pull up on pedal....mine popped right in when I did that.
