I had problems with Proparts arm and bushing set, too. It slid around too much and caused so much engine vibration. I couldn't for the life of me understand why an engine with all new mounts all around rattled like my beater, a 99 Altima. I ponied up and just bought the OEM bracket and bushing and it really smoothed out my engine... I

wonder if all that extra vibration from the poor fit of the bushing led to this stress fracture.

I dont think my issues were due to the proparts sweden assy. I bought the car with the bushing in a failed state, so it's likely that the rod that broke was the only thing holding the engine to the bracket for a while. That stress, combined with me driving the car more aggressively than before the repair, is what I think caused the failure. Since I changed "part 26" I have had no issues with motor slop.
