I thought Dice was for 99- P80's? That is what mine was sold to me as. So what would make 99 different to 00?

I've always heard VIDA is the software and DICE is the hardware. Still both '99 up.

No he bricked a 1999 by using Vol FCR.

Vida/Dice on 1999s. They have a K Line low speed Canbus and ETM. Only difference between 1999MY & 2000MY are engines and some option inclusions on base models.

Not sure if I added this already

New style AC compressor mounts with long M8 (12mm hex head) x 200mm ? Bolts running for-aft into accessory mount. These bolts are a bitch to remove as the come out and hit the wiring harness and other stuff so you need a small socket and ratchet spanner if you don't want to spend hours trying bolts.

Old style was short bolts running amidships

You have to lower the AC compressor to remove the alternator, more accurately, start the game if 'alternator tetris' to remove it.

Bolts are 12mm head with M8 threads; the same as P2s. Not certain of length though. I replaced the alternator on my 2000 V70 NA by loosening the 2 lower A/C compressor bolts (no need to remove) but you do need to remove the 2 upper A/C compressor bolts because the alternator is sandwiched between the accessory bracket and the A/C compressor. Perhaps with turbo variants there is more wiring and you may need to fully dislodge the A/C compressor by removing the lower bolts.

Then there is a further front mounted 12mm bolt you need to feel for which is very close to the accessory pulley.

If you're familiar with P2s the above is not too bad though in the confines of the P80 body it is tighter than a P2.

The ETM removal is a nightmare on the turbo P80 especially if you're not using the XeModex video so I suggest having a connected/tethered laptop or a 3G/4G connection to a phone if you don't want bleeding hands. Removing the ETM signal cable behind the starter was a particularly gruesome affair if the ETM is being removed for the first time.

Might be a right hand drive only feature? Not on my 1999

On edit - the alternator has the front of engine M8 thread, 12mm head bolt near the pulley.
