Volvo S70 98 K5.2 ECU in volvo 850R

Hey fam, need a little help. I found an ECU on ebay! Its from an s70 98 year model. 2.4l turbo. I have an volvo 850R 96. with m4.3. I would like to fit it on my volvo, is it m4.4 ecu ? Thx for help in advance.

Why?

Using M4.4 ECU on M4.3 car would result in non-working a/c compressor.

Using low pressure 2.4L ECU on a high pressure 2.3L means reduced boost, reduced power, wrong timing, and wrong fuel.

You already have a R ECU with the highest available boost on a stock car.

M4.4 is not really of any benefit for most of us. If you want more performance, get a new tune by a reputable tuner, but keep your R ECU as it is.

if u try to tune the m4.3 ecu then ur a/c unit can burn, but m4.4 is better for tuning because it had better tuning settings that m4.3 has,im gonna remap it anyways, that why it dosent matter is it low pressure or high pressure and fuel ratio, and replacing m4.4 with 4.3 is very easy, u need to change a small amount of wiring to make it work, the question was, if it is truly motronic 4.4, if so, then u can remap it under any pressure and any fuel ratio !:) but thx for help guys!

Ignore the K number, that's a 460 ECU (e.g., https://www.ipdusa.com/products/7758/11 ... -1994-1998) from a 98 LPT.

It will work great for flashing a 4.4 tune, but see the comments from tryingbe - make sure you know what you are doing.

Startlingly quick, actually, for us 4.3 users. Also, live monitoring of a whole bunch of stuff, full OBD2 compliance (and functionality), you can actually use OBD2 readers with smartphone apps, and so on.

Idk where i got the idea from porbably read and understood it otherwise, so its not that hard to put a m4.4 on my 96 850R(italian)

Yes, here in estonia i have a guy who has tuned alot of volvos, il probably let him do the flashing and remapping and so on.

So basically, i ordered the ECU, ? it just needs a 4.4 flash,new remap that will suit my setup under the hood and im golden? Is that correct? Ive only been a volvo owner for about a half a year and was only fixing it and restoring it before any big tuning upgrades, so please forgive me if i dont know what im talking about! Cheers !
