Any issues w/eliminating AWD?

I'm leaning the other way: you might be ok without it. I might fill the center hole with something to help keep dirt and road salt from getting in and sort of trapped behind the wheel cap which may instigate corrosion making it more difficult get the wheel off if you ever need change it on the side of the road.
