I can't bring myself to buy much Proparts after my subframe bushings fiasco...

However, the Proparts torque firewall mount seemed to have enough positive reviews on FCP to warrant a second look. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-v70-c70 Just bought and installed one on my brother's V70 the other weekend. Will keep an eye out for any catastrophic failures. (But from what I've read on here, that mount fails so infrequently that it should be good to go...)

But back to this post:
Do we have any first-hand experience on these Febi Volvo Control Arm Links (850 C70 S70 V70) 3516122?
Image at $36 dollars, it's tempting...

Given the amount of labour to replace I would go with a better one, I have used the lemdorfers and have about 50k on them with no issues- a friend wanted me to do his spring seats- got some for 8$ each with free shipping- I wouldn't use them myself but he is a cheap bastard

LOL on the $8 spring seats, tell him they will last all of 27 days. Maybe.

I notice that the same ebay seller for the famous heater core (which is made in Estonia per seller) also sells an end link made by Alvo.
The reason I ask is that:
- Lemforder is way up there, around $80-$100 or whatever price/each.
- This Alvo thing is only $32/each.

Can someone report your experience with Alvo thing?

Why don't you find out for us?

I can report to you that Lemforder are working great for my car, probably will last another 20 years.

When I bought my set of Lemforder from FCP they were on clearance. I thought when i checked last they were no longer fitted. TRW now own Lemforder and as per the 4 bolt front control arms they may go the same way and only be available as TRW in the future.

Even with my links that fell apart out of the car I could not imagine going through all that labour and taking a chance on a part. Maybe order both Lems and Volvo and compare them in garage and decide which to put in.

Remember FCP will give you life long on them, you will just have to eat that labour...

Where are you getting your information?

https://www.zf.com/brands/en_de/lemfoer ... index.html
ZF Friedrichshafen AG acquired the tradition-steeped group of companies comprising Lemförder Metallwaren AG and Lemförder Metallwaren J. Ulderup AG & Co, headquartered in the northern German town of Lemförde in 1984.

In 2015, the company ZF Friedrichshafen AG acquired TRW. As a result, the two organizations’ websites have been integrated. Information from trw.com is now available on zf.com.

Info came from FCP Euro, so it is only as 'factual' as the informants input. From what you have added ZF owns both, but from the info I was given Lemforder is being moved under TRW brand.
