Still on sale, just picked one up last week for $16 and change before shipping!
Put it in earlier this evening. Fits fine once you remove the casing.

I purchased a couple myself, at the $16+ price. Going to install one in my T-5R sedan (Queen Bee). I also plan to pull 2 pump assemblies to compare if there is any difference between the '95 and '99 sedan FWD assemblies, I believe there is a little. Should have kept the one I pulled apart last week.
I did put one of these in a '95 about a year ago. It wasn't a tight fit but I believe it is on the bottom of the tank.

I pulled pump assembly from an 00 S70 at the junkyard and dropped it into an 850, it was seamless.rspi wrote: 10 Jul 2017, 22:33 ... I was referring to taking the pump out of the housing. I think Volvo changed the housing at some point, which would make this pump inset fit better.erikv11 wrote: 11 Jul 2017, 12:42I pulled pump assembly from an 00 S70 at the junkyard and dropped it into an 850, it was seamless.rspi wrote: 10 Jul 2017, 22:33 ... Yeah, there are two different assembly types from what I've seen. The older style (in your fuel pump installation video) and the newer one, like in my car (on j-dawg's thread). They look similar, but the newer one allows the pump to slide out of the bottom of the assembly, whereas the older style splits in half.rspi wrote: 13 Jul 2017, 07:42I was referring to taking the pump out of the housing. I am installing this fuel pump today. Just wanted to post up that the fit is seamless for a split-in-half fuel pump housing from a 96 850, I did not need to modify anything other than the connectors.
Left the black casing intact, swapped over the pump, crimped on two new connectors and insert them into the plastic guide (those all come with the pump), good to go.
