Turbo Rebuild – 98 volvo v70 GLT

So I am trying to rebuild the turbo for this 1998 Volvo V70 GLT. I ordered my kit, got in in the mail and low and behold we have a missing o-ring. Called the shipper and was told it would take a month and half to get a new one because it would have to come from China. Lucky me, right? So, I am trying to find another place to get one most likely online. I’ve looked at all the local hardware stores and called the Volvo dealership in my area and can’t find anyone who is selling one that fits so now it’s time to come to the place where I get all my Volvo info. YOU GUYS!
So here is a picture of where the missing ring should go if you know the size and a place to order it that would be great.

Is there any obvious damage to the old one?

If your kit is a Chinese aftermarket the original might be better than the replacement. The Mitsubishi kits are all marked as being made in Japan but I have no idea where they actually source the pieces.

I second this, do you want Chinese seals with super hot oil after all the work required to do the rebuild. Not so much from the dimensional quality but the material quality.

Also try ARD and Vivaperformance as they sell turbo upgrade parts.

There are a ton of reputable places to get turbo parts, my favorite is G-Pop Shop I have received only high quality parts and work from them http://gpopshop.com

This is great info. Thanks for posting. when mine goes Tango Uniform, I plan on redoing it myself. Just needed a source for OEM parts.

ARD had a complete video showing a Volvo turbo being rebuilt. Rather simple affair.
