Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Camshaft Sensor Low Signal P0347

Post by grackel »

Hi. I've been having a check engine message popping up. My OBII reader says it is fault code P0347 which appears to be a camshaft sensor low signal error. I replaced the sensor with a new one, but I am consistently getting the P0347 code. The car seems to be running fine and I have had no problems starting the car lately.

I have had some other codes related to the transmission, but it is working fine. I flushed it a couple of years ago (like 6 times) and haven't had any issues afterwards.

I also recently replaced the alarm siren module with a new one. I don't remember the code being there before that, but it may have been. I had replaced the alarm module because it's battery was draining the cars main battery and causing it not to start.

I've also recently replaced the battery, which I did before I realized the problem was with the alarm module. I'm wondering if it could possibly be a power issue, hence the "low signal" message.

If anyone has any ideas, I could sure use them. I'm at my wits end.

Oh. My vehicle is a 2002 Volvo S80.

Has anyone gotten a 347 code? I can't find any info on it.

I've since replaced the battery with the one I previously had in the car, and I'm still getting this P0347 code. So frustrating. If anyone has any insight, I'd really appreciate it.

I had replaced the camshaft sensor and the code didn't away. Is there something in line, or attached to the actual sensor that I could try?
