Wanted to make sure that Volvo (3547625) matches the hanger that we need to replace.
Tried to remove the small bolts holding it in, one was so rusted that the six point socket
just rounded the head, the other snapped off.
This freed the part that looks like Volvo (3547625), under it is another "plate" that bolts
to the frame with one very large bolt that came out without a problem. I'll drill out the
backing plate and buy a new Volvo (3547625) hanger then use bolts and nuts.
Was having trouble finding the second part to the sandwich, this looks like it at FCP Volvo #9434431:

The other hanger with the pipe clamp seems to be about an inch too short in the width of
the hooks for the rubber hangers - it does not fit well. Also, the nuts for the clamp look
like they will hit the other bracket when driving. It is really poorly engineered, as simple as it is.

Stumbled onto this S70 (I think) part (Volvo #9470686) that simplifies the overly complex
sandwich design in the 850. Hold down the bracket with the big bolt, eliminate the sandwich
and two extra bolts - link says it fits 850, hope that is correct, about $18:
From FCP: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... et-9470686
From iPd: https://www.ipdusa.com/product.asp?P_ID ... ory=basket This looks much better than the aftermarket part from ebay, also for the S70, the
Volvo factory part is around $50 but there is an aftermarket copy from iPd for about $19:

I'm going to try these.

Installed the Volvo #9470686 single piece part and after trying it in different positions
I concluded that the hook part of the metal did not fit so I hammered it flat. After I
installed it I noticed that it did line up with one of the holes and you probably just have
to go in at an angle to get it in. Good enough as it is and I like the one piece design.
I had the ebay clamp on pipe hanger on upside down, it fits fine with the nuts facing
down toward the ground. It was an easy job and it all fits nicely now.
