The spoiler may not be worth much, but the mounting brackets are! They are now obsolete. I recall someone in Brazil (I think) bought the spoiler but it had no hardware, that's when he found they were obsolete.

850 lenses/headlights are (I stand to be corrected) now no longer available from Volvo. So again worth having as spares or to sell on.

Do you have ECC or MCC climate control? If both cars have ECC, then the ECC unit in the dash is worth having, and I think the 850 also has a resistor back to run the fan speed which are expensive. Worth having all the parts including the cabin temp sensors hidden behind the grab handles in the roof above the front doors on both sides.

Well to be frank I would strip the thing, take every sensor, every module, all the lights, take the fuel pump yada yada yada, then go back and take off all the things you somehow overlooked (TPS! AC pressure switch! etc), then pay $100 to have it hauled to the junkyard.

Thanks for all the input. I've spent the day harvesting many of said parts. It was worth it but made me a bit sad to sent the car to the scrappers. Amazing how good and clean most of the parts looked after 22 years. I left it in drivable condition, as I didn't want to bother towing it 35 kilometers. Heading tomorrow morning to the scrappers and will pick up a few more parts when I'll get there. If anybody needs a door trim, let me know - otherwise they'll go to the scrappers. Thanks again for all the feedback, Yair

Get the roof trims if they are in good shape. You won't regret it. They take 5 min. to pull. Ditto the rubber seals around the doors.

I got the roof seals and driver's door rubber seal. Spent the last 5 minutes at the scrappers popping out switches 😊
Goodbye to the faithful 854, now I need to finish stage 0 on the 855T

Sunroof panel is easy to harvest and hard to find. You need switches and a battery to pull it though.

Bye bye 850

Its horrible to see these beautiful chassis go the scrap pile, but economics are harsh

My last water cooled VW was still a good runner - I gave it to charity.

Wow, that hood, grill and bumper are in better condition than on our car...

I might've pulled that front glass if I had the space for it.

I could use the engine splash guard and passenger front wheel splash pieces,
no idea where they fell off!
You were probably too far away to get them and I see it is gone.

We also need the grille pointed to by the red arrow - anyone have one?

Just hit me that nobody took it for the engine to replace one with burnt valves or whatever,
how many miles did it have?

Pete, do you mean you want the grill, near the red arrow?
