850 Cup Holders and Power

Post by PeteB »

I'd like to add better cup holders to our 850 and probably just bolt them to the map
pockets on the doors. Anyone done this, is there a thread already?

Also want to add more cigarette/USB power sockets - best place to pick up power
that is easy to get to under the dash? I'll use an inline fuse if needed.

My daughter just bought one that wedged in between the passenger's side seat and the console and it worked out slick. There were two deep cup holders and a place to put her phone. The nice thing about that setup was there there was no drilling and you could just take it out if you wanted to.

You can get the power for the extra accessories by tapping the existing socket or there is a tap under the dash on the driver's side that is a bit easier to get to.

Thanks Lee, I take it wedging it is what holds it up, I'll have to look for that type.
Will look under the dash, thanks!

When I held one up against the map pocket, it was far too big and hit my leg, so
that is out.

For power, look for the yellow accessory connector it has all forms (switched, constant, etc).
