My 850 was driving pretty good until I tried to go on break from work the other day and my car began to shake and the check engine light came on.
I checked the code which was a 121 so I assumed my MAF must've been shot because it would go nowhere when I gave it gas(but would still start and run). I took it out to clean it, let it dry and put it back it to see if that would help. now my car only starts for a split second then stalls. Idk if this was a mistake but I cleared the code to see if it would have an effect and now I'm reading 1-1-1 no fault.
I went to the JY and found one that I thought might work to see if it still just bad but I'm having the same result. It may be that sensor is also bad or just incorrect for my car as I'm not 100 percent sure what year it was because it was almost completely destroyed.
Now I'm not sure if this sounds more like a computer issue or just a bad sensor issue because most of what I see is that there is usually a period of the car running rough when the sensor goes bad. Opposed to how my car just doesn't start at all.
I'm fairly certain the car is getting fuel because I can hear the fuel pump and I'm getting fuel shooting out when I press the pin on the side of the fuel rack.
I plan to get a new MAF just to see what happens but if anybody can guide me on what else it may be I would appreciate it.

It may not be a MAF problem. Have you tried to start the car with the MAF unplugged. Does it start/run?
Are you getting fuel pressure at the fuel rail Schrader valve? Should be about 42psi on that year.
If you are getting no flow it may be a the fuel pump relay has failed. Search the data base on how to jumper this relay with a wire to by-pass it to see if the car will run.
Neil.

Well it starts and immediately dies. I tried the jumper wire on the fuel pump with no success. I'm gonna get a fuel pressure gauge to see if the pressure is adequate.
