1995 volvo 850 radio issue

the other day, I turned on my car, the radio came on for about 5 minutes and went out. I checked the fuses and the radio fuse is good, could there be other issues I am not aware of, or did my radio finally give in

Is the radio doing anything at all? It could be related to wiring. Make sure the connectors are in all the way, obviously.
Your best bet after checking those things would be grab one from the junkyard to test it (they're usually like 25-30 bucks, make sure it has a code with it) or take this as an opportunity to upgrade.

nothing at all, the display is blank, I will take it out and make sure all connectors are tight...and see if I can find one at the junkyard...usually these radios are the first to go...

Not sure why the radios go so fast down there. The only ones that go here are the SC-901's and most folk then forget to take the wiring link to the amp and the amp.

The rest get torn open by the gorilla's too cheap to buy new bulbs.

That was one time I did that...

...actually I had to get a new faceplate ribbon connector because I broke it replacing light bulbs. Which didn't even work

I have a 6 disc CD player, so I am just looking for the Sc-811 with just the cassette player?

The 1997 radio with a single CD slot has the same plug for a remote CD player. The 1998+ cars have gray plastic rather than black.
