Hello all, I have a 2000 Volvo S70 SE with the wood grained trim on the interior of the car. There is a crack on the rim of the cigarette lighter which is causing the lighter mechanism to fall through into the console. I have purchased a replacement piece of trim for the center console, but I want to make sure I remove and install the new one without breaking anything. Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks in advance.

With the center console removed you will see several wire bundles that have to be removed. Theses are held in place by torex screws and clips. Pretty easy job, old plastic can be brittle. Take a good look at your cigar lighter clips to ensure none are broken. I had to tie wrap one of mine to ensure it was secure.

You should hot glue or epoxy around the flimsy thin plastic lighter holder on the underside of the wood trim.
