I took our S80 into the dealer to replace the 12Volt adapter in the center console because the fuse kept blowing everytime you plugged in cell phone adapter. Volvo said they had an update for that and replaced it. When we got the car back the AC will now only blow cold air if you set the thermostat on the lowest setting. Once you move it off of there it immediately starts blowing hot air. Not outside air but as if the heat comes on. There were no problems with the AC until getting the car back. My understanding is that they have to remove the entire center console to replace that 12V Socket.
Any ideas on this? I'm taking it back to them tomorrow.

It was related with the dealer visit. Something went either out of calibration with the CCM (climate control unit), or something was damaged to the CCM when they've done the electrical thing - a power surge can damage the small temperature sensor behind the grid on the CCM for example.
I also remember about a phone adapter that was causing the socket to blow on another car brand. I'd try using other adapter, if the issue resurface.
