I'll buy a fuel pressure gauge and check it when I get it reassembled. currently the intake is off of the car and I'm changing the PCV system. It needed done and I suspect it could be part of the issue. The car supposedly got a new fuel pump and fuel pump relay in 2015.

They could've skimped on the fuel line, or ham-fisted the install. Mine had been "fixed" by a PO also---

I had almost the exact same problem in my 1994 850 non turbo.
Bottom Line: Take off the rotor cap and inspect it for foul play. U can leave the spark plug wires attached. Its just three 10mm bolt/screws and I think three more 15 torx or 20 torx screws. The bolt securing the plate to the camshaft is also 10mm.
Granted, it's still pending to be road worthy, it now drives. After a new MAF sensor, fuel pump, and everything inbetween. Vacuum and fuel lines double checked it was just the rotor. My bolt securing it to the camshaft was broke and it fell out inside the cap.
Not sure how it even idled. But I drove it 50 miles on the freeway, almost home, before it would not accelerate anymore.
Hopefully on yours the bolt may just been loose.

I had the same issue a year ago. After swapping every sensor and part I could think of I finally opened the fuel pump and had the exact same slipped hose like Chuck W. The nipple isnt ribbed and the oetiker style clamp with hose will slip down over time. Access is easy in a wagon takes 20min. Worth a look.
