2005 volvo s60 T5 transmission service light and check engine light came on at the same time

So i have a 2005 volvo a60 t5 ans the transmission service light and the check engine light came on at the same tine but i didnt notice and difference in driving it didnt get stuck or slip or go into limp mode or all the other things that people have had go wrong when the light goes on it seemed like nothing had changed so is it just a o2 sensor and maybe a just needs a oil fiter so about 150$ service or am i gonna have to replace the tranny and or somthing worse?

Welcome to MVS.

90% of the time a CE light is the result of -- yes -- a catalytic convertor, or a mass airflow sensor, or a vacuum line/elbow leak.

The CE light is probably the least worrying malfunction light there is on any brand of car.

"Transmission service light" - do you mean a "transmission service required" message in the message display center?

Because the transmission message popped at same time, it may not be just a front O2 sensor. It may be an electrical issue. Check first the CEM for water ingress - google up.
