I don't think the cam hub has enough angular okay to cause interference but there is no way I would tell anyone to play that lottery

Idle will be fine, you will get a cam code error if the vvt isn't setup right, usually after a couple hundred miles

about to tear it all apart this morning to replace intake cam seals but when my crank is TDC my cam's are off by one tooth. it still runs and idles nicely. So, should I keep crank at TDC and then move cams one tooth over? or leave as is and proceed, obviously I'm not looking for the 100% fool proof Volvo fix but if it's just one tooth I've been reading that that is within min. tolerance and the car will drive fine but I might have to clear codes. Thanks, again.

fixed the leak, it was the intake cam seal and aligned the marks and runs great but I got the cam code, ECM-643A. Not sure when I'll get another day to redo it but just glad it's not leaking oil everywhere.

quite an episode, mine leaked but not that much.

thanks everyone for your input and time. It's crazy, running all that oil through the cam seal really cleaned out the engine pretty well, so far the oil on the dipstick looks like vegetable oil it's sooo clear. I'm going flush the transmission fluid today, bought a case of Mobil 3309 and hopefully it'll run even better. thanks again everybody.
