Oh my- old filter...unbelievable!!
Btw, I hope you got enough of the anaerobic sealant on the surface. I know that Volvo calls for only a thin layer (nothing to glob up things) but the picture you posted seems like there were bare places.

Yeah I put plenty of sealant on there, more than enough probably. Don't have a paint roller so I just applied it with my fingers.

Got the car put back together last night. It ran, but very rough with code P0300 multiple misfires. Right now everything is pointing to leaking injector seals.

So I got some seals from O'reillys that actually was for a Ford but they fit pretty good. Now I have a new code P0089

Gonna buy a new fuel pressure sensor and see what difference that makes.

It was the fuel pressure sensor that had given up.
I'm not sure if I will keep the car or sell it, we'll see.
Need a new project now but I'm not sure what the wife thinks about that
