I bought some this yesterday. It wasn't on special like I thought but was $15:00 a litre cheaper.than the Toyota stuff and probably a squillion $ cheaper than Volvo stuff. Frankly if it meets the specs then it must be ok.

Hmm not so sure now about this Mohican stuff. I did a total drain in our 2002 XC70 using 12L of Penrite Full Synthetic (Gibbons method used) I also did an adaptation reset with Vida. Car is still twitchy but has had only 1 code in 5,000kms where it was previously coding 2 to 4 times a week. Shifts feel slurrier if I can put it in words.

Also this Penrite synthetic has transformed our XC90 again with around 12 L and Gibbons method.

In my T5 2001 V70 1-2 shift is softer than ever with this fluid. Again a full flush 16L this time. I also cleared a blocked filter in another post on this car so it could be the result of this.
Current cars VW Transporter 2.5TDI, 2010 XC90 D5 R Design

"probably a squillion $ cheaper than Volvo stuff"

This made me laugh out loud because my closest Volvo stealer to me wanted $27 canuckastan dollars /liter for their delicious blend of fluid.
Do you Ausie guys have Costco?
They have Castrol TransMax multi vehicle very cheap and they deliver it free to your door here in cannabis land.
and yes Castrol TransMax has the 3309 spec designation.
cheers
