Heat on drivers side, cold on passenger
Heat on drivers side, cold on passenger
2006 XC70- Turned the heat on today...nice drive to work. Coming home, not so nice. I could not control the heat on the driver's side...full heat! I put the A/C on to test that out...cold air on the passenger side- all vents blew cold while the driver's vents were high heat. Where do I start to solve this issue?

It sounds like blend door on the driver side has given up. I'm a bit worried that both sides are acting up because the probability both blend doors have failed is remote...that's more likely a control unit issue
Have you vacuumed out the cabin air sensor ( in the dash, I think?)
We did once have a much too long thread here on the same problem until someone asked what the temp settings for driver/pass were...then OP vanished

Is this in manual mode? Maybe the swirl arm is broken on drivers side above the pedals, give it a check while turning the knob. Its the same arm that controls both sides, I think its easy to replace.
