1970 144 parts needed

Greetings,

I am looking for 1970 144 parts for a family member in St. Louis, MO. According to his message, we are looking for:

Front passenger wing window
rubber seal/gasket for both front doors where it touches window glass

I am looking up parts numbers. If anyone has any information on these parts for sale or where to obtain, please PM.

My version of Vida only goes back to 240's. There is a classic Volvo parts supplier in Vancouver Canada, but looking at their web-site they don't go newer then P1800/120 series.

Europe may be worth checking out. There are a few specialists older Volvo parts suppliers in UK like Brookhouse (I think that was their name) who may be able to help. Also check the website for a company in Sweden who have Volvo's classic parts catalogue. Their name if I recall correctly is gcp.se :

Mind you not sure what a front passenger side wing window is. Do you mean a sidelight? The small triangular shaped window that opens on an upper and lower pivot pin, and have a latch on the inside?

Thank you Neil, yes the wing window I referred to was the small triangle window.

I will search for side light.

this is tougher than I thought it was going to be.

Unfortunately they are getting older and some like the 1970 may have had the bonded on locking mechanism which tended to fall off leaving no way to lock them.

Maybe post an ad on the 144 website on MVS here as not everyone looks here, but if they read that 144 section you may find someone who knows where there are cars being parted out or have stocks of spares. Maybe try Chapman Motors Inc in Canada on Vancouver Island. They sometimes take in older cars and store them for folks like you! Also try Erie Vo-Vo but I think they tend to have newer cars I think, but worth a shot.
