S40 CPS code PO339

Post by wilsonrcjr »

I rebuilt my daughters S40 non turbo 2005. When restarted it will run for 10-15 seconds and stall. Codes intermittent Crankshaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor, & the connector. I sent it to a repair shop and they had problems communicating with the computer and told me to take it to the Volvo dealer. After 5 hours of diagnostic fees, they said it needed a computer and or flywheel. So, I brought it home and had Xemodex redo the ECM and I put in a new flywheel. There is no change, cranks, dies. The Volvo mechanic and I both checked the harness - there is continuity at the ECM pins for the CPS. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Make sure the battery is not weak...strange things happen with our cars when they are.
