At approximately 232,000kms replaced
Front rotors (V Max slotted from eBay seller performancecarpartsonline) and front pads (Swag)
Rotors have 20,000km warranty
Front sway bar links x 2
Polyurethane cross member bushing inserts from Pro Parts
New fuel door hynge with new spring (URO)
Replacement driver's seat module fitted (used from 2002 S60)
Approximate cost $AUD400
Creaking and groaning from front suspension when changing direction at low speed seems to have stopped. Brakes feel great with good bite and no more vibration.
In fact the whole front end feels tighter and better tied down on tight turns.....noise from front end is gone.

Fitted a new Bosch MAF. Box was marked 0280218108 yet MAF was marked 0280218045 (the old OEM number) I ordered 2 MAFs and opened up both of them to check the inserts. They both had the same Bosch number on them even though body numbers varied.
Also fitted a new front Air/Fuel sensor p.n. 17070 or 0258987000
as the old one was open circuit on the heated element.
Cost was around AUD$250 shipped for both.

A partially failing coil pack on cylinder 4 was replaced 2 weeks ago as it finally called up a CEL and gave itself away. Replaced that coil pack with a good used one with no body cracks and a good rubber boot. Car drives as it did before and fortunately no more pre-ignition sounds from the motor even on 91 RON fuel.
Finally got a pic of my engine number

Did some investigative work on A/C system. Discovered that an accurate dash temperature display is key to having A/C operation. In particular when temperatures on the dash display drop below freezing the A/C will not go into a cool function.
Replaced RHS mirror which has the integral temperature sensor and the A/C now works as it should.

Finally cut a spare key at Amalgamated Locksmiths in Collingwood (great bunch of guys) who were able to get the exact key code for the cut by scanning the profile of my old key. They even gave me a printout of the key codes in case I want it cut again.
I had Henry remote in and program a new ID48 transponder for me.
All up cost about $120 but well worth it to have a fully functioning spare key
