Removing intake manifold 2012 xc70
I need to remove the intake manifold on my 2012 Volvo XC70 to replace the alternator. Is there a tutorial somewhere on this? Thanks, RH

The injectors are in the head so no gasoline lines need to be touched. Disconnect the throttle to air cleaner pipe at both ends and set aside. Remove the 7 bolts intake to head and there are two bolts down at the bottom into oil pan side. You should be able to move it for ample clearance now. You may have to cut a cable tie and unclip some wiring harness for more freedom. The intake gaskets are effectively rubber bands in grooves in intake and are re-useable unless the engine has run really hot. They are green and might stick to head and have to put back into place in intake. Check that the bolt in the drive cog is tight as those can come loose, especially if the alternator cog has an issue with its one way clutch.
