Hello everybody,
S80 from year 2008. When driving at corners, I hear water flowing/sloshing somewhere in area behind dashboard / under wipers. Sound of water is clear, like there is already several liters. From left to right and back, in whole width. I have read in forums about bad sealing of windshield, clogging lines in A-pillars from sunroof or AC drain lines. My car do not have sunroof. And also no water on floor inside.
Dealer recommend to replace windshield, to get new better sealing with new windshield. Hard to believe that via sealing so much water can get inside. Maybe somebody know better and simple solution ? Maybe possible to drill a hole somewhere, to let the water out ?

Your cowl drains are clogged. They are located in front of the lower 2 corners of the windshield in the cowl area. There are rubber tubes down lower on the firewall that clog up with leaves and debris and the cowl are holds water and sloshes around

Agreed. Remove the two wiper arms and then the few push pin retainers for the black plastic cowl cover the wipers come up through. Verify that water is there and then clean drains. If you find no water then the a/c drain maight be plugged and the water is in a/c evaporator case.

Correct me' but I don't think it's needed to remove the wiper arms, especially given they are most probably stuck. Just lift the plastic grid (4 retaining pins that you will probably loose) should give enough access to the drain holes. Get a water hose into these holes and make sure water comes from under the car.
