PSA - 99 V70 AWD drive axles - Check and tighten

Post by wizechatmgr »

If you start getting unexplained engagement of the STC/ABS on a AWD check and verify the drive axle bolts are tight. I found the passenger's side wasn't torqued to spec. I'm unsure if it ever was as no work was performed on it during my ownership.

Special thanks to Matty Moo. If I ever require a repair/replacement of my ABS module, I know which company I'll order it from. You provided additional help that assisted in finally conquering this demon.

Thanks again,
Roy B.
