The only place I have been able to locate them is from a dealer. FCP can likely get you one as well. My guess is that it will be special order and they won't have it in stock. Most dealers seem to be able to get special order stuff within 48 hours.

VADIS has some very good exploded drawings of the transmission control system but I don't have it with me at the moment.

I guess that's where I read S1 and S2. What do I ask for from the dealer? What's the proper phrasing to get 'industry' (mechanics) discount?

what do I want to ask the dealer for? I have an image from a shop manual that shows S1 and S2 on the outside of the transmission, I think. With a lift, my mechanic shouldn't have a problem replacing it right? Anyone remember the price for the S1 and S2 solenoids? I want to order them asap! =)

p3

(I accidently cleared the code(s) in A1 and A2 when I got the car. Just did the other modules and nothing related to my problem found (cleared all codes) =)

Just ask the dealer for the S1 and S2 solenoids for your particular transmission....yes, you can change them if you lift the engine/tranny slightly (under oil pan with a 2X4 if I recall) and/or slightly drop the subframe... .but others might chime in w/ better advise as I actually haven't done this particular r&r.

You do realize that S-1 and S-2 have nothing to do with the torque converter lockup function don't you? That is its own solenoid that is often called S-L.

What are your symptoms?

Ozark

No codes returned in A1 or A2, and that includes the trip down the street to get my emissions sticker (passed!). I cleared the A1 and A2 codes and put at least 15 miles on it and nothing came back. Do I need the SL solenoid instead of S1 and S2, SL = Torque Converter Lockup...

My symptoms were/still are

1) Car starts in too a high a gear (feels like 3rd).
2) Put the accelerator down, it will downshift to first where it belongs, and then un-gracefully enter second...

When coming to a stop, it will more often than most STAY in too high a gear, and get down around 500rpm (danger of stalling out) and fall into first finally, or has, on occasion, stalled out. Fluid is good.

Thank you for asking the hard questions.

You sure that your PnP switch is adjusted properly? May be as simple as that.

No, I don't. I'm trusting the mechanic who did the install. I see it was scored (I saw it part way installed) so they probably didn't have the alignment tool... I also printed out the Bay13 instructions for them as well...

How would one adjust it? Also, if it is out of adjustment, would it cause the problem described? =(
