Help needed, buying 2nd hand S80

Hi, I never had a volvo and I found a 2006 S80 near me. I've recently had my car die on me so I thought it could be a good idea to get one. I've never had any experience with Volvos so I'm curious, what should I look for with this car? Are there any issues that I should be aware of? Is there something specific I should have checked before buying? Is this car any good?

Which engine? AWD or FWD? How many miles? June

Probably if you try the search function you will find very similar requests for information, at least I seem to recall exactly this discussion not too long ago. Basically the front suspension components are a weak point, and depending on the model, the automatic transmission. Other than that, you can get many happy miles out of these comfortable sedans.

I have a 06 with the 2.5T and the AN Trans. with 146k miles. Plan on keeping it for quite a while longer.
