2003 XC70 - Need part names or part numbers

I can't figure out these 2 part(s) names and their respective function?
Please see pic and advise. See square reference in pic, does that part look broken? Many thanks!

Is the part on the right perhaps a broken brake vacuum booster switch?

We have had a rash of these go lately!!

It's something like an ejector valve and it's function is to provide brake booster vacuum under some engine conditions.

The other part is the vacuum sensor and , yes, it has self-terminated. The upper part is somewhere on I287 if it isn't stuck on the electrical connector.

I think I have a spare and am coming through your way Thursday

If you do go look for the other part, don't hit Governor Christie flagging at the Fort LEE bridge. You will total your car.

Isn't that cap dangling by the connector near the vacuum switch in your photo?
