Install trip computer 850 T5 -94

So i got a trip computer from the yunk yard, but it has the green cable to it. And mine has a gray cables so it won´t work. I was wondering does any 850 have a trip computer with gray cable? I get the stuff from the yunk yard free so thought i should install one. But not sure if any 850 has the trip computer with gray cable :/ I have a 1994 T5

Ok i see, well mine looks like the vdo one, but i have the gray cable on it. And i have the short display with clock only. Guess i will have to find another 850 and see if that computer trip have the gray cable

Yes those clusters evolved in production. You need to get a matching one or replace the entire cluster.

Ah i see, going to the yunk yard again then to find another trip computer with the right cables

As mentioned by rspi, getting a cluster to match the other trip computer might be an easier way to go. Every car at the junkyard has a cluster, only some have trip computers.

Yeah i know,problem is my car has not been driving that far and i really don´t want my milage to increase on the cluster
