My 2003 non turbo has VIN number 3227xxxx

I looked down the intake and the PCV box is this model https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 70-8653042
However FCP says the #31338024 is for VIN up to 3138170 . Same on the Eeuroparts site

FCP says I rather need this box https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 0-31319991

It is just a bit confusing, the two OCV are not the same with the side hose of different diameter.

Not sure, anyone else had this happened on their car?

I would go to Volvo directly for VIN number breaks on parts. Volvo lisle parts has this online
Empty Nester
A Captain in a Sea of Estrogen
1999-V70-T5M56 2005-V70-M56 1999-S70 VW T4 XC90-in-Red

You need your engine serial number not your VIN serial number.

Engine serial number, up to and including 31318170 with Bi-Fuel, Oil trap 31338023
Engine serial number, up to and including 31318170 without Bi-Fuel, Oil trap 31338024

Engine serial number 31318171 and beyond with Bi-Fuel, Oil trap 31319989
Engine serial number 31318171 and beyond without Bi-Fuel, Oil trap 31319991

Thank you both. I did indeed confuse VIN with the engine serial. Went to read the engine serial but the sticker on the timing belt cover is gone. The print on the block is almost indecipherable but I managed to read a 29xxxxx, so it makes sense

The engraving on the block? Sounds like the engine needs a good power wash.
