V70 4-2001 ECC left too cold and right too warm

Post by mod64 »

Hi,
during 2017 several attempts have been taken to try to fix the problem of the faulty ECC/HVAC behaviour described as follow :

Shortly after start of the engine the HVAC system is warmed up , at a certain moment in time (e.g. after 15min) the RHS vents blow very warm air ( while the ECC temperature position knob for the passenger is set at 20degrC) and the LHS vents blow very cold air ( while the ECC temperature position knob for the driver is also set at 20degrC).
The quick fix during driving is to lower the RHS temperature position knob to 16 degreeC and the LBS temperature position knob to 24 degreeC, then the temperature stays more or less balanced...

Measures so far :

CCM module replaced and software reloaded with VIDA
Test with VIDA shows motors are operating correcly.

At this very moment the problem still excist ( it has been intermittent for half a year but now it is permanent)

Do you have any clue where to start further solving this problem?

Kindly thanks for your reaction(s)

Regards,
Rob
