Hy everyone,
I had an issue with my ABS System recently. A feeling I was driving over an tree trunk something like that. I get out the front ABS sensors and cleaned them, they were looking good.
The pedal brakes came back to a normal use, no shaking. But again, this afternoon, the feeling described up : a shake in the pedal. I've disconnect the ABS by the switch on the board.
Does it means that I should think about changing the ABS block ? Do this story inspire someone who has lived the same experience ?
Thanks for the replies

It sounds like cracked solder joints on the ABS module, a common problem on the P80 platform cars. My '98 C70 did the same thing, a remanufactured ABS module fixed it. Does your speedometer come and go?
If you do replace the ABS module, be aware there are two different versions. One for cars without traction control and one for car with traction control. Make sure you get the right one.
Do a OBD scan and post all the codes.

Hy,
Thank for the quick answer. I'm unable to do an odd scan, I haven't got soft. I will see with my local dealer.
Thanks much for the help.

There are companies that repair the modules. In North America Mid-West ABS is our go to company as the owner Matty is an MVS member. Probably not helpful for you but check his web-page as it has a lot of helpful information and how to identify which module you have. The easiest way to figure out which module you have (there are at least 3 types) and part number is to use a mirror to look at the bottom of the ABS module to read what it says there.
There is a company in the UK that repaired them, I think there name was BBR or something like that.
Neil.

A Volvo dealer ... be careful. A new ABS module can be rather expensive. One can get a remanufactured ABS module that is better then new for a lot less.

There is Repaired, Remanufactured and Remanufactured with an ECO that corrects the cracked solder joint problem. I got a Remanufactured with an ECO of eBay.

Once you figure out which version you need and you have the Volvo part number. Go to eBay France and see if you can find a Remanufactured with an ECO.

Hy guys,
Thanks a lot for the way you have so quickly answered and for advices. I will check the reference of the right part tomorrow afternoon.
For the moment, I need to use my car this evening. So to "make a pause" with that, I would like to get off the right fuses :
N° 9 ABS PUMP MOTOR
N° 14 ABS MAIN A/C
N° 29 ABS UNIT COMMAND.
Have i to get these three out, or which one disconnect the ABS ? Or is there a another process ?
