I have a home made boost controller in mind.
If anyone had seen Wayne Carini, Chasing classic cars, he had found a Roush Supercharged 960 that Paul Newman had built.

I know of another 960 Wagon that Tim Allen had built for David Letterman as a gift with a big block Chevy.

Newman was an avid race car driver, and I'd heard bit's n pieces about this Volvo. Thanks for posting, it's very interesting.

If you would like to see a vast array of vehicles including some of Letterman's and Leno's look for "Comedians in cars getting coffee"

I'm pretty certain that Letterman takes the 960 out with Seinfeld for a spin.

I took a look at that. Newman must have had a couple because that is a different color, and it seems letterman still has it.

Although Carini did not speak to the Owner, he bought it through an in between. The owner wanted to remain anonymous.

I still remember an episode where Tim Allen was discussing a hot rodded Volvo. They must have been talking of the Newman car.

Just watched this episode on Netflix. Awesome, though David Letterman mentions a couple of times it broke down.

Newman's 960 is a Ross Converse and Converse Engineering transplant. A Ford 5.0 shoehorned in a '97 Volvo V90.
