The 'regular' OBDII readers will not usually real codes from the transmission module.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.

If the remote doesn't get a response, but the locks
still work from the switch, it may think that there's
a key in the ignition. A shot of lock lube or some
TriFlow, followed by working the ignition with the
key to move that stuff around may help.
