Its warm and humid today. I got allot of internal trim off for future upgrades and replacements. Stereo, Tailgate Struts etc..

Right now I am testing and cleaning the contacts for all the window switches and motors. And pulling out the lock actuators. Going to do my best and referb them.

It was full! I didn’t grab it (didn’t want to pay whatever those guys wanted to charge me) but it was a cool find indeed! I should have pocketed it... lots of valuable service coupons if they would still take them!
You might want to go back, the sixth coupon is a free Kerr-flunk removal.
Next time I'm there, hahaha... maybe I'll finally grab a 16t too!

It might as well be...

Today was the expected inspection fail on the e-brake; pleasantly surprised nothing else turned up given MA's new inspection system. Big Brother is watching, quite literally. Cameras everywhere. The new requirements are driving a lot of service stations out of doing inspections.

Here, the department of traffic safety picks out inspected cars by random and perform another full inspection to check if they did check everything like they're supposed to. If not, they'll be heftily fined.
Just got the letter stating my car needs to be inspected prior to March 23rd.

Make sure you get the right shoes for the parking brake as there is a chassis break in 99. Order by VIN and compare to old before turning in cores

Replaced the timing belt yesterday. Replaced the heater core and cleaned the interior on Sunday. Today I cleaned the carpets and made a run to the u-pull it for a bunch of parts. I got an almost new overflow bottle and green cap, set of 4 floor mats, hood release, coil, 2 hub caps, 2 year old volvo brand wires, newish air pump check valve and an intact cupholder. Wanted more stuff but had to leave as I had to get ready for work.

Bummed about the hub caps when i got home as they were slightly different.

Nice haul! I'm waiting to find a set of rear mats at Pull a Part to match the front ones I got for under $1/piece on sale at LKQ. But for some reason I still like my $12 eBay all weather mats!

Thanks. The floor mats are gray instead of tan but the wife said it was ok as she only wanted volvo mats to clip in place. Were the only matching set i could find for now. I'll keep hunting for some tan ones or rubber ones. I got excited as i found a rubber set but they were a newer model and the holes were angled instead of straight. The prices are nice there too, I got the mats for $2 a piece.

Not bad! Fortunately junkyards sell then cheap because they usually understand that things like floor mats can be nasty at junkyards. Every now and again you can score a nice set from a car that was well maintained.

I have a set of Lloyd Mats mats in my E320. Good tailored fit, decent material, and you can order sample chits to match your carpet color. They also came with little clips to keep them from sliding around. Not exactly a $2 steal, but if you need mats for an obscure car, it's not a bad choice.

They also have some with deeper pile, if you're a fancy guy who demands the fanciest carpets. I only use them to keep the factory carpets clean, so the exact material didn't much matter to me.
