Door lock question

Post by wlkstout » Tue Jan 23, 2018 6:38 pm

Both passenger side door locks do not unlock with the button or key fob. They will lock just not unlock. I'm thinking it's the actuators but didn't know if someone else might have had any issues with them. Does this sound like the actuators? Or should I look somewhere else

If both don't work it is most likely it is the actuators, but could be the masterswitch on the drivers door. Normally though if the door locks work one day it is the lock actuators at fault. There was something recently about repairing the actuators, but pulling a couple from a junkyard is probably the quickest and easiest way to repair.

If you're going to pull actuators from the junkyard, definitely pull a switch too. You'll be mighty frustrated if you do all that work in the doors and find out it was only the switch (much easier to swap the switch).

Now that is pure genius and I don't think I have tried it. Definitely would check it out.
