Hello,
I just got back from my mechanic. I was asking him about the reed bearing, and he told me there was a service bulletin on the V70 advising how to change the oil and filter. Something about how the oil filter chamber needs to drain first, before the draining the oil from the pan under the car. It has something to do with creating vacuum, leading to trouble with the reed (?) bearing.
Is anybody familiar with this service bulletin? I'm a little confused about it, and I'm wondering if anybody can explain how to correctly change the oil and filter. Who knew this could be complicated.
Thanks
Tom

I think its READ - Rear End Accessory Drive - which drives the oil pump.
Try a google on that and see if that helps
