I think you will find this forum to be a fantastic resource for repairs, information and ideas. Also every repair video posted on youtube by Robert DIY aka rspi is an invaluable resource. I have seen haynes manuals for our cars but I have never used them. Welcome to the forum.

+1 to this. Robert has tons of great videos on Youtube to show you how to do just about anything you would need to do on these Volvos. And of course this forum has plenty of resources.
I have a Chilton's manual, but I've found threads on here to be more helpful for the most part. The torque values in the manual are helpful.

Welcome Mike

You’ve got one the ‘ bastards’ ... the 1999-2000 model years. There is a lot of good stuff here but some of it doesn’t apply to our cars as they are for the special ones. ...😀

Once you have absorbed some volvo stuff , find the bastard thread to pick this stuff up.

I use Alldata's DIY for my '99. It covers quite a bit, though I definitely look here first before starting a repair. There are many tips and tricks that may not be in a manual.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

There are a couple of glitches in the 99 version of Alldata that reference -1998 stuff, so come here for clarity. I just ask wcm to stop over and look on his car!

I found the Haynes manual to be fairly good on my 850.
